Poppa, thank you so much for coming into Mom's life and loving her like no one has ever loved her. The two of you had such a special connection that I really never understood until May 2014 when Mom was in the hospital and I spent time caring for you. You are truly her True Love and you will never ever be replaced as Mom could never love another like she loves you. You truly hold her entire heart in your hands and I can never thank you enough for how much you love her. It took 40 years for her to find you but I know it was totally worth the wait. The 25 years you had together were magical for both of you.
I know that it took many years for you and I to find our special bond and I am so happy that we did. I am so honoured that you allowed me to spend some of your last days and hours with you. Thank you for allowing me to spend Thursday morning with you where you confirmed through a blink of the eyes that I do talk to much...but that I wasn't driving you crazy. I am so happy that on your last day on earth that you and I found a way to communicate without you actually speaking...not that I would have given you an opportunity to do so.
Throughout the years, including the days leading up to your passing and these days after, you have made me a stronger woman. Thank you for allowing me into your life, to be a part your biggest journey and I will never forget your smiles during our last few visits together prior to your departure. Lastly, I will never look at my phone in the same way again and I will choose not be on my phone during those important moments in life...because I know you will be right there flapping & waving your hand trying to tell me to 'get the hell off your phone and look around at those in your life', like you did on Jan 24, 2016...you made me laugh so hard that day...but it truly was a life lesson! p.s. I was only texting Roger the photo so he could see how great you looked ;) I know that you will be watching and I will be keeping the promises that you and I shared on the last day...I Promise!
