In loving memory of Ed Horner, He will not be forgotten.
Ed had a huge impact on our life from the very first time we met. He found out we were building a home just around the corner, so he took the time to find us and introduce himself.
He came in to Port Elgin and started asking people on the street knew who Dave Butcher was. A family out walking said they did and said that is Stephen's dad, they got in his truck and showed him were we lived. He knocked on our door and that was the first time we met. Over the years he and Lenore became part of our family. His generous, loving heart was always at the forefront of who he was. He was daily presence in our lives made us feel we were a part of that huge heart. He made us laugh often and we will always cherish our time and memories of him, from coming over on his four wheeler, visits at his home, card games, phone calls, jokes, advice and just being there when we needed help and guidance. Thank you Ed for always being there for us. Dave and Robyn were one of the last people to see him before he passed that morning. He was looking so good, joking with them and in great spirits, despite fighting a cold. He looked the best we have seen him look in a long while, that is the way we will remember him.
We Love and miss you so very much, it’s been difficult not hearing your voice but we will cherish our memories. Rest in peace Ed.
Sincerely, The Butcher and Tuck Family,
(Dave, Robyn, Sarena, Nathan, Stephen and Lauren)

I feel so bad we did not get up to see you this summer as we had planned. I felt I should get up there but it wasn't meant to be with my illness. I had to put it off thinking we could go up after Thanksgiving. Was looking forward to a good game of cards and that is why I was making sure Gail came so we could play euchre. Was looking forward to it and feel really bad we did not make it in time, never dreaming it was this close. It was a real shock but I feel happy he did not suffer. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you Lenore and your family. He was a great guy. Love Marg

You will be so missed- We will miss your Saturday morning pop ins at our cottage just to stop in to have coffee. Or our chats at your trailer over some dessert. You were one great Euchre player and a kind, God fearing man. I rejoice knowing you are now with your maker and I look forward to seeing you there!!
My condolences to Lenore and family. We are grieving with you the loss of this great man.
