Obituary of Daniel Patrick Wayne Ritchie
It is with great sadness that Elizabeth Ritchie announces the sudden death of her beloved husband Daniel Patrick Wayne Ritchie. He passed on November 7th,
2023 surrounded by his wife and family members.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 21 years Elizabeth Ritchie (Mallais), and his mother, and father-in-law Ray and Mary, Jeff (Lizette), Jason (Annette), and their families, David (Dave), Doug (Gloria) and Rosie (Joe). Dan was predeceased by his parents George and Iola Ritchie, his sister Valerie, brothers Gerry and George.
Dan was a longtime employee of General Dynamics and GM Diesel. He was much loved and will be greatly missed by all his nephews and nieces. “Uncle Dan” was always there to offer advice, share some laughs, and have the pool nice and warm to enjoy family swims and barbeques. Dan enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean with his wife Liz, and going to the Jays games, he was always up for an adventure. Dan loved watching sports and was a great fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Montreal Canadians.
Liz would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at University Hospital Cardiac Critical Care unit for the outstanding care given to Dan. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. It would be greatly appreciated if donations in lieu of flowers sent to London Health Sciences Foundation, in support of Intensive Care Unit at LHSC.
