Obituary of Barry Charles Hill

Barry passed away at home in London. He was the son of the late William Hill and Shirley Doherty. 

Barry grew up in the Dundas Street East area and with his mother Shirley moved to Victoria, B.C. for a while. When they returned to London, he worked as a welder and spent some time with Ontario Hydro and the Murphy Tobacco Co., eventually beginning his beloved 40-year career at Stan C. Reade Photo. He was very well known in the camera business, for his extensive knowledge and salesmanship.

Barry loved his social gatherings. Sharing a beer or four with friends. He also loved to read, loved new technology, and his humour would always lighten the mood with everyone.

He leaves behind very dear and close friends, Ian, Maggie, and Henry, plus cousins Don Hill, Janice Hill, and David Hill. A gathering for memorial cheers to Barry will be held in March.
