I was sad to hear of Irma's passing. Irma and I spoke on a regular basis. I will really miss our conversations where she would often reminisce about the good times and adventures she had with my grandparents (Merle and Hugh Disher), parents (Marion and Hilden) and my aunts (Doris and Melva). One memory she shared with me was when Irma and my Aunt Melva boarded a bus at 18 years of age and travelled cross country to California to see the sights and visit relatives. This was an unheard trip for two teenage girls from small town Ontario in the 1940's. She shared with me her detailed scrapbook and it is amazing.

During our phone calls, Irma would keep me updated on her family, whom she loved dearly.

She would often tell me about events that she was involved with at Mount Hope and how her favourite place was outside in the beautiful courtyard. See attached picture of my sister Linda on the left and I am on the right. The photo was taken in August 2022.

Irma perserverd despite her physical limitations to assemble and distrubte welcome kits to new residents where she lived as well

as leading fundraisers for local schools in the London area.

She was a remarkable person and a true role model for us all on how to deal with and remain positive despite challenges that life may throw our way.

I will miss her dearly, and her upbeat cheeful attitude along with her advice and contagious laugh. I was always amazed by her reslience and tenacity.
