Obituary of Douglas William Reid

On the evening of Tuesday, May 21st, Doug passed away peacefully at home with family at his side in his 80th year.  Survived by his wife of 52 years Eileen (McGinnis), son Doug Jr. (Laura) of Toronto, On., daughters Dawn Crook (Aaron) of Bayfield, On., Darcy Cronyn (Sean) of Moncton, N.B.  Grandchildren Olivia Miller (Stuart), Benton Crook (Lauren), Indy Crook, Keenan McCue (Oriana). Great Grandchildren Owen and Quinn Miller. Predeceased by parents Robert and Annie Reid (Stevenson), Brothers, Bob (Barb) and Jim. Sisters, Emily Candy, Katherine Root (Stan), Betty Quigg (Harry), Helen Woelk (Hank). Doug will be lovingly missed by several nieces, nephews and friends. Per Mr. Reid’s wishes there will be no funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Special thanks to Donna Forward, Brenda Reid and Darrin Auger for their care and support for the past difficult years.
