John Charles (Jack) Mathers

On April 24, 2017, peacefully and surrounded by his family, John Charles (Jack) Mathers passed away, in his 77th year. Beloved Husband of Patricia Mathers (nee Campbell), treasured Dad to Sherry Taylor (Paul), Mark Mathers (Anabela), and Jennifer Hewitt (Robert), cherished Brother to Lillian Hill, Rebecca Mathers, Kees Confurius, Wayne Mathers (Lucy), Paul Mathers (Ann Marie) and Kimberley Fisher (Doug), precious Uncle to many nieces and nephews, and loyal friend to countless.  Jack was pre-deceased by his brother Winston Mathers and sister Sheila Bigham.

Dad was a quiet man who cared very deeply for his family and friends. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Dad had an intense desire to share the good news about God’s Kingdom, when everyone will live in perfect health, peace, and happiness ... here on earth. During Dad’s battle with cancer, our family met many extremely caring people. Our heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses, PSWs, e.Shift technicians, and transport services from many organizations including: SouthWest Middlesex Health Centre, London Regional Cancer Program, Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, Canadian Apothecary, CCAC, St. Elizabeth, Paramed, VON, Bayshore, HomeCare by Angels, Voyageur, and Medigas.

The Memorial Service will take place Friday, May 5th at 7:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 459 Second Street, London. Online condolences may be left at www.affordablefuneraloptions.ca
