Obituary of Dale Hunt
Hunt, Dale Alan
It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Alan Hunt announces his passing after a long, courageous battle with diabetes, on Saturday, September 15th, 2018 in Tillsonburg, ON at the age of 64 years.
Dale was born in Grande Prairie, AB, and at a young age, moved to Dorchester, ON where he was raised by his parents Bruce Hunt and Lillian Lebeau. Dale excelled as a cross-country runner in high school and in 1978 graduated from Mohawk College with an Insurance Diploma. Dale became owner of an insurance brokerage that served the community of Dorchester, then later relocated to London, ON. Dale enjoyed the relaxing pace of small communities such as Ilderton, ON, and Nairn, ON, before retiring in Tillsonburg. Dale’s diverse range of interests and passions included music, history, hockey, model airplanes, sports cars, in-line skating, gardening, and wood-carving. Dale had a strong loving bond with his two loyal German shepherds Kasch (predeceased) and Ziphyr.
Dale will be lovingly remembered by his children, Chad Hunt (Kendra Willard) and Ashley Hunt, and his two grandchildren Brooklyn Hunt and Hayden Willard-Hunt and his sister Cheryl Hunt-Black.
Those who wish to gather in memory of Dale are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday September 22nd from 1pm to 4pm at the Springbank Gardens Community Centre at 205 Wonderland Road South in London, ON.
Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Dale to Diabetes Canada.
