I just learned of Chris passing today. Chris and I hung about in a group of friends in the late 60s, early 70s in Sarnia. We reconnected about ten years ago. Chris wanted to host a reunion. It would have been fun. I am attaching a photo which to me best represents how I remember him, guitar always in hand. I am the other guitar player, and in the background is Ron McPhee (also deceased) on drums. Last we spoke, Chris told me how much he loved his job as a paramedic and was very proud of a book of illustrations that he authored. My condolences to Lou Ann and family.

I hadn't heard of Chris passing until today. So sad... I had known Chris and appreciated his paramedic humour for many years, and then had the privilege of working with him at MLEMS in his last year or so. What an old soul with a great heart! I miss our chats. Rest gently my friend. The pain is gone.

My family and I are truly blessed to have had Chris in our lives. Lou Ann and Chris made us have a family we never had here and welcomed us into their home. I will cherish the moments of Chris teaching my children about dinosaurs and his stories of travel. His artistic skills inspired my children to make crafts for him and Lou Ann. There are so many things I will look back on and smile not because you were our neighbour, but because you were our family.

LouAnn,
It was a privilege to have known Chris in two capacities, as a patient and a coworker in healthcare. I remember fondly meeting Chris as an EMS responder who was ever kind, caring and patient in his professional role. He was a calm and steady influence at times of emergency. He has an amazing legacy of art, friends and family.
I want to express my sincere condolences to you and your family.

Randy and I were very saddened to hear of Chris' passing. He sent us a copy of his cartoon book of his EMS adventures a few years ago. It was a wonderful enjoyable and funny trip down memory lane. Art always mimics life and his personality was openly on display in his humorous art. The ability to make others laugh is a special gift and a true testament of his personality. I know he will be sorely missed by family and friends. Our sincerest condolences to all.
Sincerely
Randy and Bobbie Ann MacDonald
