Obituary of Joseph Gabriel Tremblay
On February 1, 2021 Joseph Gabriel Tremblay in his 91st year passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Leila Mary Tremblay. Cherished father of Kim Tremblay (Hallie Abram), Perry Tremblay (Bonnie Wilcox), Tracy Goyette (Mark Goyette), Cory Tremblay (Laurie Chappell) Predeceased by granddaughter Tanya Mykicz (1973 - 1991) Adored grandfather of Chris Kavanagh (Jenna Kavanagh, Angie Brown, Tyler Mykicz (Tiffany Mykicz), Jonathan Travaglione, Aja Bloetjes (Kevin Bloetjes), Marlee Goyette (Christopher Compton), Kody Tremblay. Great grandfather of Mason, Brooklyn, Ashlyn, Jaxon, Helayna, Lynkin, Henley, and Colton.
Gabriel (Gaby) was a die hard Montreal Canadiens fan and was actually photographed watching a Montreal Canadians Old Timers hockey game and listening to a Montreal Canadians game on his radio. There is proof of this with a photo somewhere. Gaby was a great trout fisherman and could fix anything around the house. He worked for McKay-Cocker Construction in the 60’s and then for General Motors Diesel Division in London, where he retired in 1981.
As a grandfather and the patriarch of our family, he was always willing to play with the grandchildren, he fostered a love of games and was always at the centre of our family gatherings, laughing and singing. He will be greatly missed.
A private service will be held for family members. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be sent to a Charity of your choice.
