Five Years too late. Typical of me. Doug shaped my teenage years as a mentor to a very immature young man. He was a surrogate father when my Dad and I didn't get along. I wish I could go back in time and tell him that. The song says "Regrets, I have a few...", but I do. I have many. And one is that I never said "Thanks" to the man who loomed large in my young life. If the dead can read, then, Doug, read this: "Thank you, very much, for being who you are/were to so many people". David

Doug Baker. The first image I have When I say his name is his light beige dress shirt and brown pants dancing down the store isles or in the front of the store we worked together and his smile! Because of him I have long time friendships, an appreciation of life, and stories of selling shoes that Al Bundy would laugh at. He was friend to all, a mentor and father figure to most of us that worked for him. He was kind, fair and one of the brightest stars that shined.
