Obituary of Dr. David Gregory Latta

Our only comfort in life and death is that we belong to our faithful saviour Jesus Christ.  

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Dr. David Gregory Latta on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021 at Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care.

David was born on February 7th, 1939 in Oshawa, Ontario to Clarence and Lorna Latta.  He is survived by his second wife of 10 years Mona (Buys) and predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Sharon (2010).  David will be greatly missed by sons Timothy (Bridget), Bruce and Ian (Tammy).  Cherished grandfather to Michaela (Shawn).  David is also survived by his sisters Marilyn Bilsky and Margaret Latta.  Predeceased by siblings Harold (Judy), Brian (Su-Zhen) and sister Susan, along with brother-in-law Ron Bilsky.

David loved his 30 plus year career as a Doctor of Chiropractic.  During his career he had the opportunity to touch and impact the lives of many in and around London.  In his retirement he worked tirelessly to locate and reunite adoptees and birth families all over North America.  David also enjoyed fishing, almost as much as being in goal on the hockey rink.  He valued the many friendships that his work and sports provided him along the way.

At David’s request, cremation will take place with a private ceremony at a later date.
