I believe our home was Johns first home in Canada. My parents took in boarders from England to help pay for their home. John stayed with us the longest and became part of our family. He was a kind, caring man who was very talented. Thanks John for always going to bat for me...it meant a lot to me.

Maisie and Stephanie
I would like to express my deepest sympathy in the death of John. I hope it helps in some small way to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you both. I also want you to know how grateful and blessed we were at Kensington to have been able to have the 3 of you share your musical talents for so many years and on so many occasions with the seniors. John's warm smile and gentle manner was recognized by those who enjoyed his music. Thank you all so very much for loving those that resided at Kensington, worked or volunteered. It was an honour to have him a such a dedicated volunteer for so many years.
I am sorry that I will be unable to attend the service October 3rd as I have been laid up since April with post op surgery recovery and complications. Just know that I will say a silent prayer at home during the service time and I hope that you get a sign that I am with you both during the service.
Love Lynda

Hi Maise and Stephanie,
My sincerest, heartfelt condolences on your sudden loss. John was a good, hardworking, humble man and I will always remember him as this kind, generous soul I knew at St. Paul's Cathedral.
I hope you will find comfort in knowing he had a good life to the end surrounded by your undying love and support.
May you find comfort in knowing that he served well and is now in Heaven.

My heartfelt condolences on the loss of your beloved John, a true gentleman, whose kind gentle spirit endeared him to all who knew him. I shall miss our visits and his enthusiasm and joy with painting. You have so many incredible memories that will keep him forever in your hearts. Dear Maisie and Stephanie:
Bob and I are very sorry to hear of John's passing. We offer our most sincere condolences. We know that the last few months must have been difficult for all of you. Our daughter Kerry was here on the weekend and she asked me to also express her condolences. If there is a skating club in heaven, there will be a friendly contingent from the London Skating Club.

Dear Maisie and Stephanie,
I am so sorry to read of your loss. I have so many wonderful childhood memories from our time at the London Skating Club. I shall forever remember the absolutely wonderful St. Bernard's head that John created with papier mache and ping pong balls for eyes that was used in the production of Peter Pan, the first ice show at Treasure Island Gardens. It resided for many years in the basement at Pinewood dr. as you know Dad(George) didn't like to throw out anything that could be used. We also have one of the wooden rifles that was used in one of their many skits.
You were all very good friends to Mom and Dad over the years and I know that they treasured your friendship.
With deepest sympathy,
Susan Kaye(nee Yelland)

Hello Maisie & Stephanie.....
Eager & lively were my impressions
When chatting a time with John.
Wither talking about painting, skating,
Or just sharing everyday thoughts.
Short is our stay in this learning place,
To move on to our genuine space.
For Love & Loved Ones will so tarry,
To honor a memory held true,
In the End we'll just be together,
To Laugh at fond memories past,
And get on with the joy of beginning,
An adventure that will forever last.
So let go of this temporary grip,
And look at the meaning from High,
And cherish the life that has meaning,
He did it with real flare & full beaming!
We will keep his memory close & light a solar candle in John's honor...fondest regards.

Dear Maisie & Stephanie:
Am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I well remember the three of you being such a great team with your travels, etc. What a great life he had. I always enjoyed John's company and he was such a great mentor and supporter of me during my years playing the bells at St Paul's. My condolences to both of you.

Stephanie, I just became aware of your dad's passing. I am so very sorry for your loss. I didn't know your dad well but I know he lived a very full life. I had no idea he was close to 92 the last time I saw him. That's a testament to him and his love of life that kept him young. Again, Stephanie, I am very sorry for loss. Please convey my sympathies to your mom as well.
