EVANS: Loreene (Lorie) (nee Savinkoff)
Peacefully at home in London on April 22, 2022, Loreene (Lorie) Evans in her 102nd year. Beloved wife of her late husband Gerry. Beloved Mom of Susan, David and James Evans. Beloved daughter of her late parents Elizabeth and Wasyl Savinkoff. Beloved sister of her late sisters and brother Florence (Fred) Rezansoff, Pauline (Mike) Chernoff, Annette (Nick) Rezansoff, Nelle (Peter) Horkoff, Willie Savinkoff, Betty (Fred) Rezansoff, Lindie (Bill) Dewores. Dear sister-in-law of the late Marjorie (Ronald) Fleet. Dear friend of Bruce and Bea. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Lorie’s Life which will be held on May 14, 2022 at The Mandarin Restaurant 387 Wellington Rd. (at Commissioners) London from 12:30 – 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations to Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Local Food Bank would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Lorie was born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan to a large family. She later moved to Toronto where she met her husband Gerry. They had 3 children and a very happy marriage for 58 years. They were self-employed for many years and worked together in their hardware store Briarcrest Hardware and later in their health food store Better Health Supplies in the Covent Garden Market. She excelled at customer service.
She was a wonderful, sweet, loving, kind, caring, thoughtful, and giving lady. She believed in God and Jesus. She loved her family, relatives, and friends and cherished the time she spent with them. She loved gardening, knitting, shopping, and going for drives. She was a member of Colborne Street United Church.
She will be greatly missed. May God keep her in the palm of His hand.
