Obituary of Donald George Rough

Peacefully, at home, Don (86) went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 17th. Don enjoyed a beautiful, rich life through his faith and the upbringing of missionary parents in Jos, Nigeria. He came to Canada at the age of 14 to complete his education as a Chartered Accountant. Don enjoyed a rich life with various companies. His passions and love included Bible study, prayer, hospitality, sports, traveling, and reading.
Don was a dear husband to Vi, who predeceased him, and Marilyn for 30 beautiful years.
Cherished brother of Mary Smith (Robert predeceased), John (predeceased), and Hugh (Mary).Don’s love of family included Joanne, David (Nancy), James (Antoinetta), stepdaughter Andrea (Kevin), stepson (Philip), and 10 wonderful grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Don had a deep love for his family, a stalwart in faith, righteousness and dedication.
The family is very grateful to the VON, LHIN, PSW’s, and Affordable Funeral Options for their loving care and support. Cremation occurred with interment at Highland Memory Gardens, Toronto, Friday, September 30th at 1:00pm. A private family gathering will follow. Donations may be given to SIM (sim.ca).
