Dear Ginette, I miss you so much. You were a great friend to me for many years. I will miss our talks. In many ways I think you looked after me, always making sure I was alright.
I have many good memories of us I will keep with me, but here are some I wish to share.
I will never forget the day my divorce became final and I came to the office and you presented me with a 'Happy Divorce Day' cake fully decorated with a smashed bride and groom on the top. It was perfect and really helped me through the day.
Another was when you and Bill spent a week with me at my sister's lakehouse in Haliburton. I will never forget waking up in the morning to find both of you sitting in the matching chairs having coffee in your robes reading, very content. Me I wanted to fish on the dock. Ginette had asked Ab our old boss for some fishing rods and he gave her a large nice one and a kids rod which was only about 3 feet in length. Yes she was very competative and she wouldn't give up the large rod and so I was stuck with the kids one. She caught small fish and I took them off and put on the worm for her. I didn't get any bites. She told me she hoped I could catch a fish because she knew how much I enjoyed it. We made a joke of it though me with the small one but believe it or not I finally got a bite and the rod bent almost in half it was so big. It was very comical me screaming to her to find a net which I think Bill did and me trying to reel in the large mouth bass with the kids rod but I did it. She took a picture of me with it and that will always remind me of that day. After I let it go (I never keep them) she turned to me and said ok your happy now? We spent most days that week travelling around going to open markets and just relaxing. It was a good time.
Work was busy with lots going on, good days and bad days. I remember the day she told me something was wrong. Not a good day. After she left I kept in touch, we met for dinners and some dancing. She loved to dance.
She met my children and I met hers. I took my granddaughter to meet her and she insisted to give me money to buy her a gift. She was always thinking of others.
I miss you my friend, but you will always be in my heart and my memories.

We are so sorry for your loss. Ginette was always a good neighbour. She welcomed us when we first arrived in London almost 34 years ago. Over the years she always complimented us on our flower gardens and kept us informed of local happenings through her neighbourhood watch years. She will be missed.

So sad to hear of Ginette's passing. We met thru IAAP and had many good times organizing events and fund raising for our Chapter when she served on our Board. Ginette was always so happy and fun to be with.

It was a pleasure to know Ginette and her lovely family. Her family brought her immense peace. Her life of many adventures, the stories she shared about meeting Bill, and her love for reading, birds and cooking, came through most of our visits. May comfort and peace abide with the family.
