So sorry to hear of your loss Milly. We remember Tom being at church every Sunday as our girls were growing up, and always with a smile on his face. Our sincere condolences.

My heart sank when I read that Tom had passed. Tom was one of my favourite Sunday School friends at Metropolitan. We were both there most Sundays and he was a great friend to hang out with. My deepest condolences to Milley, John, and all the family.

We always enjoyed the Chidley boys. The last time we saw Tom, he stopped in our cottage on Cache Lake in Algonquin Park.
We asked what he was pulling that day, his answer was sailboat fuel. Took us a minute to grasp that. We all had a good laugh over that.
He stayed for dinner and overnight on a cot in our living room. We had a full house. Carole's brother and nephew were with us. My nephew was in awe of Tom, driving this big rig. Tom asked if he would like a ride. My nephew was thrilled. That was more fun than staying at the cottage with us for a full week! I'm not sure how far they were down the highway, with my brother following, before they stopped to let my nephew
back into my brothers car, and everyone was on their way home. He sure made someone happy that day.
Tom was a good guy. Peace be with him.

Tom was one of my dad's best friends growing up and I truly believe if it wasn't for Tom and the family cottage in Algonquin Park, I wouldn't have grown up to have such a love for the park and outdoors. One of the best trips out to the cottage was being towed by Tom and my parents in the motor boat while my sister and I rode in the canoe behind! Tom always loved fishing and even though he had a hard time getting out nowadays, he always commented on my fishing pictures! Rest in Peace, Tom. You will be missed❤️
