Shepherd: Seranus

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Seranus Edward Shepherd, affectionately known as Snoop. He passed away peacefully at his residence at Seasons Retirement Home in Strathroy on May 6, 2023, at the age of 80. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 35 years, Joyce Shepherd. Dear father of Darren Shepherd (Shelley), Kevin Shepherd, Mark Shepherd (Colleen) and predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Curry. Loving grandfather to Katryna Curry, Dominique Curry, Kirk Curry, Joshua Shepherd, Caitlin Shepherd, Matthew Shepherd, Emily Shepherd, and Tommy Shepherd. Great grandfather to Damian, Hanna, and Aria. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. 

Snoop was born in Forest, Ontario. He and Joyce loved wintering in Bushnell, Florida and spent their summers at Birch Pine Park in Kettle Point. In his younger years, Snoop could be found racing cars at the Delaware Speedway. He enjoyed lawn bowling in Forest and watching NASCAR races on TV. His gift was how he connected with people and was a great friend. Before Snoop retired, he worked for many years at Webster Manufacturing and Dynamax Courier.

He was survived by his brothers Stanley (Hilda), John (Muriel) and sisters Marilyn and Hazel (Harvey). Predeceased by his brother Roger and David (Lynda). Survived by his sisters in law Kathy and June (Gerard) and brother-in-law Jim (Martha). He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Pearl Shepherd. Cremation has taken place. At the request of Seranus, family will receive friends and relatives at the Warwick Community Centre, 7074 Egremont Road, Watford, Ontario, on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm.
