Obituary of Clarence Jesse Lockman
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clarence Jesse Lockman at University Hospital in London, Ontario on Saturday, August 5th, 2023. Clare is survived by his two step children Maxine Kibler of West Kelowna, BC and Murray Kibler of Toronto. Beloved son of the late Edna Gertrude Walden and Cecil E. Lockman, he was predeceased by his dear wife Norma Helen Lockman and his dear sisters Ruth Brady and Jeannette Lockwood and brother Don Lockwood.
Clare was a long time active member of Mount Zion United Church and spent his working years as a printing press operator at Hearn Kelly Printing Company. He enjoyed the occasional round of golf with good friends and looked forward to winters in sunny Arizona with his many wonderful friends there. When at home during the summer it was well known how particular he was about maintaining his property and his meticulous lawn.
Clare, a gentle person was kind and caring and always very supportive of family, friends and neighbours. Known to many of us as Pappy, he will always be remembered for his sharp sense of wit that brought such humour and warmth to us all.
He will be laid to rest beside Norma in the Sanctuary (columbarium) at Woodland Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will be held later this year with the date and location to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Mount Zion United Church, London, Ontario or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
