I was deeply saddened when I heard of Joe's passing.
Joe and I met at Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in Peterborough, ON in 1983. He was a classmate and good friend. I enjoyed his crazy sense of humour.
I recall one time when Joe saw me checking my mailbox and I complained that I never got any mail. The next day, there was an envelope with my name printed on it, in my box. When I opened the envelope, it was full of dead houseflies which Joe had collected from the window sills in the old classroom building that our school was using. When I realized what was in the envelope, I looked around and there was Joe, peeking around the corner to see my reaction when I opened the envelope. We laughed and joked about that for a long time.
We lost contact after college but I remember Joe with fondness and laughter.
I pray that the Lord will bring comfort and peace to all who loved Joe and that you will treasure the wonderful memories of him.
