Alice “Carolyn” Mallon

Born August 30, 1947 – St. George, ON

Passed March 15, 2023 – St. Thomas, ON

With sadness we announce the passing of Alice “Carolyn” Mallon on March 15, 2023, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital.

She was lovingly cared for by the excellent team of nurses and doctors at STGH (5th floor). We would like to especially thank Dr. Andros for hisempathy, care and concern. Carolyn passed peacefully, surrounded by family.

Survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John Mallon, son Jeffrey McIntosh (Heather) of Paris, son Jon-Ross (JR) Mallon (April) of London and “son” James Gurney (Sarah) of Paris. Carolyn cherished her 3 grandchildren, McKayla McIntosh, Maggie McIntosh, and HudsonGurney.

Carolyn will be remembered for her beautiful and loving heart. She never met a stranger and could make fast friends with almost anyone. Many of her friends will fondly recall her generous gifts and her caring interest in others. Carolyn had a very funny, pointed sense of humour and kept us laughing, even while in the hospital.

Carolyn’s faith in Jehovah God kept her going through difficult health challenges. She relied on prayer to overcome her difficulties. Although her health limited what she could do in service to Jehovah, she regularly took the opportunity to give a witness to her care aides, nurses and doctors. The beautiful Lynhurst congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses was a blessing and a support in “times of distress” and we would like to thank the brothers and sisters for their assistance and support during this difficult time. 

A memorial for Carolyn Mallon will be held on Saturday April 15th, 2023,at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 9946 Talbotville Gore Road, St. Thomas, ON.
